Overview

How the program works

You run your own advertising in your market. Once a campaign is approved and running, it earns you co-op credit worth 3% of your Apollo sales over the year that follows, up to 50% of what you spent on that campaign. You keep control of your own website, phone, and leads.

Every campaign begins with pre-approval, and credit is earned as you sell. That means you spend and submit proof first, and then we add credit to your account as your sales come in. When you submit photos and video with a campaign, that campaign earns at a higher rate, so documenting your work pays off every time.

  • 1

    Get pre-approval

Before you spend, send your planned creative, channels, target area, dates, and budget using the pre-approval form. We confirm in writing before you run it. No pre-approval, no credit.

  • 2

    Run your approved ads

Use approved assets from the dealer portal, or build your own from the supplied clips and flyout graphics. Keep Apollo featured and the creative as approved.

  • 3

    Submit your claim

After the campaign runs, send the credit claim with your proof of spend and proof the ad ran. We verify it, then credit 3 to 5% of your Apollo sales over the following year, up to 50% of your spend.

Search

Search ads have no video, so the kewords do the work. Write to the phrases people use when they are searching for your product or services, and match the ad to the kind of work you do. Here is how a responsive search ad looks on the results page.

Lift your rate

Earn up to 5% with footage

Great footage of installed systems is one of the most valuable things you can share with us, and it is often hard to come by. Submitting it raises the rate your co-op fund accrues at. Photos of a completed job add 1% and video adds another 1%, to a maximum of 5%. Footage is subject to our approval.

3%

Base rate

Every approved campaign accrues at 3% before any footage.

4%

Add photos

Send clear photos of a finished install and your next order accrues at 4%.

5%

Add video too

Add photos and clips of the system opening and closing, and your next order accrues at the full 5%.

What we need to see

  • The clean side of the louvers, and for video, a full open-and-close cycle
  • At least 2 clear photos of the system, or a video clip for the higher rate
  • Video roughly 20 to 30 seconds, so we have room to edit down to the 15 to 30 second range that performs best on Meta
  • Vertical (9:16) or 4:5 framing where possible, 1080p or higher, in focus, stable, and well lit
  • Finished outdoor spaces that look ready to enjoy
  • Watermark-free, with no text or graphic overlays

What to avoid

  • Construction gear in the shot: no ladders, tools, materials, or packaging
  • Incomplete or unfinished yards and landscaping
  • Competitor branding, logos, or signage
  • Audio containing names, addresses, or other identifying details

Footage terms

  • License to Apollo. You grant Apollo a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right to use, edit, reproduce, and share the footage for marketing purposes, including with other Apollo dealers and in paid advertising, with no fee and no time limit.
  • Right to grant it. You confirm you have the right to provide the footage, including permission from the property owner shown in it.

Program terms

How credit is earned
An approved campaign earns you 3% of your Apollo sales over the year that follows it.
The cap
A campaign never pays more than 50% of what you spent on it. That is the most any single campaign can return, no matter how much you sell.
Photo and video credit
Submit photos with a campaign and it earns 4%. Add video as well and it earns the full 5%.
Earned after the campaign
You spend and submit proof first, then we add the credit to your account. No credit in advance.
Qualifying spend
Paid advertising that features Apollo systems and uses approved creative, including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and print placements such as magazines.
Website requirement
Your website must feature Apollo louvered pergolas as one of your services, presented in line with our website integration guide.

Getting your credit

What we need to release your credit.

  • Verification of spend. The platform invoice from Google or Meta, or the publication invoice or insertion order for print, showing the amount actually charged. A reporting screenshot alone is not enough.
  • Verification the approved ad ran. For digital, a screenshot of the live ad or a preview link. For print, a tearsheet of the printed page or the publisher's proof of publication.
  • Completed claim form. Amount spent, dates, and where the ad ran, attached to the items above.

Campaign setup

Setting up your campaign

How to build a co-op-qualifying campaign, plus what to submit at pre-approval and at claim time. If you are an agency running this for a dealer, start here.

Every campaign and ad must meet these

  • Run a dedicated, Apollo-only campaign. Do not mix Apollo ads into a campaign that also promotes other products or brands. This is the only digital setup co-op will fund, and it makes the whole campaign spend creditable.
  • Feature an Apollo system. At least one image or video in each ad shows an Apollo system. Other images can run alongside it.
  • Name Apollo in the copy. The ad copy or headline includes “Apollo” or “Apollo Opening Roof.”
  • Reference a louvered pergola. Use a term such as “louvered pergola” or “adjustable roof.”
  • Point to a landing page that features Apollo products. See our guide on How to feature Apollo on your website for details.

Setup, and what to submit at each step, differs by channel:

Google Ads

Campaign setup. Create one dedicated campaign containing only Apollo ads. Because it is Apollo-only, the budget can sit at either the campaign or the ad group level.

How we suggest setting it up

Run a Search campaign on high-intent terms, grouped into a few tight ad groups by theme.

  • Core keywords: louvered pergola, motorized louvered pergola, louvered roof, adjustable patio roof, motorized pergola.
  • Local: add your city or region, e.g. “louvered pergola [your city]” or “louvered pergola near me.”
  • Use phrase or exact match on the core terms so you are not paying for loosely related searches, and add negative keywords such as “kit” and “DIY.”
Do not bid on the Apollo name. Targeting “Apollo” or “Apollo Opening Roof” as keywords puts you in direct competition with Apollo’s own brand ads and drives up the cost per click for both of us. This is about the keywords you buy, not your ad text — your ads still must say Apollo and show an Apollo system.

At pre-approval, submit

  • The exact campaign name.
  • A preview link for every ad in the campaign.
  • The landing page URL.
Timing: Google ad preview links expire 14 days after they are generated and cannot be renewed. Generate and submit them right before you request approval.

At claim time, submit

The campaign spend report from Google Ads billing, filtered to this one campaign (CSV, XLSX, or PDF), or the shareable report link.

Meta (Facebook & Instagram)

Campaign setup. Create one dedicated campaign containing only Apollo ads. Advantage campaign budget or a per-ad-set budget both work, since the whole campaign is Apollo-only.

How we suggest setting it up

Meta is audience-driven rather than keyword-driven.

  • Target homeowners in your service area, using a radius around your showroom or the metros you serve.
  • Let Meta’s automatic optimization do the work, but keep the campaign Apollo-only so it cannot shift budget to non-Apollo ads.
  • Video performs best for Apollo systems. Clips that show the system opening and closing right away tend to have the highest click-through rate.

At pre-approval, submit

  • The exact campaign name.
  • A Meta ad preview share link for every ad in the campaign.
  • The landing page URL.
Timing: Meta draft preview links expire about 30 days after they are created by default, though you can extend that in the link’s share settings. Generate them close to approval time.

At claim time, submit

The spending report from Meta’s Ad Report, filtered to this one campaign (CSV, XLSX, or PDF), or the shareable report link.

Setting up Meta’s Ad Report (one time)

To make claims easier over time, build the report once, then just change the dates and export each month. Include these columns: Campaign name, Ad set name, Ad name, Amount spent, Link (ad settings), Schedule, Delivery, Reach, Impressions, CPM, Clicks (all), and CPC (all).

Print

Setup. Print has no campaign structure like digital. It is a single placement in a publication, and each Apollo placement is treated as its own item. Each print ad must still meet the ad requirements above.

At pre-approval, submit

  • The ad proof or mockup as it will run (a screenshot is fine).
  • The publication name.
  • The expected cost.
  • The run date.

At claim time, submit

  • The publication invoice showing the amount paid.
  • A tearsheet — a copy of the ad as it actually printed.
How do I set up my ads on Google or Meta?

Each channel has its own setup, plus what to submit at pre-approval and at claim time. See the campaign setup section for step-by-step guidance on Google Ads, Meta, and print, including suggested keywords, targeting, and the reports we need.

Can I bid on the Apollo brand name in Google Ads?

No. Keep your keywords on the product and your local area. Bidding on “Apollo” or “Apollo Opening Roof” competes with Apollo’s own brand ads and raises the cost per click for both of us. This applies only to the keywords you buy — your ads still must say Apollo and show an Apollo system.

My ad preview link expired. What do I do?

Preview links time out: Google’s expire 14 days after they are generated and cannot be renewed, and Meta’s expire about 30 days out by default. Generate your links right before you submit for pre-approval, and send a fresh link if you edit an ad.

I’m an agency. How do I get access to submit?

Ask your Apollo dealer for their access code. Each dealer has a unique code in their dealer portal (portal → co-op advertising page → “Open the Forms”). That code lets you view the pages and assets and submit the pre-approval, claim, and footage forms on their behalf.

Co-op credit calculator

Estimate what a campaign earns before you submit it. A campaign earns a share of your Apollo sales in the year that follows, your rate rises when you submit footage with it, and your ad spend sets the ceiling. This is a planning estimate and is confirmed by Apollo at claim time.

Ad co-op credit

A campaign earns 3 to 5% of your Apollo sales in the year after it runs, capped at 50% of its ad spend.

Questions

Co-op program FAQ

How much credit do I earn?

We add credit equal to 50% of qualifying ad spend to your Apollo account, up to your rolling co-op fund. To use your full fund in credit, you spend twice the fund amount, since we match half.

How is my co-op fund calculated?

Your fund builds at 3% of your Apollo purchases over the last 365 days, measured from the date your ad is approved. It is a rolling window rather than a calendar year, so the fund moves with your most recent twelve months of orders. There is no separate startup fund for new dealers. You earn the same 3% from your first order onward, and approved ad spend from before that first order still qualifies once the order lands.

Can I earn more than 3%?

Yes. Send photos of a completed job and your accrual rises by 1%. Add video and it rises another 1%, to a maximum of 5%. Because footage comes from a job that is already built, the lift applies to your next order, not the one the footage came from.

What advertising qualifies?

Paid advertising that features Apollo systems and uses approved creative, including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and print placements such as magazines.

How do I earn and use my credit?

Get pre-approval before you spend, run your approved ads, then submit the credit claim with your proof of spend and proof the ad ran. Credit is earned after the campaign, which means you spend and prove first, then we add it to your Apollo account toward your next project. It is not a cash payment.

What footage should I send?

Photos of the finished install and a clip of the system opening and closing work best, ideally with a short homeowner testimonial. Submitting footage raises your accrual rate rather than paying a flat fee, so photos add 1% and video adds another 1%, up to 5% on your next order. See the footage section for the full quality guide.
